4 Steps to Recharge After the Holidays
A new year is upon us, and we are tired. While the holidays invariably deliver good times and delicious eats, they can also be taxing. Hanging out with family for days on end, preparing big meals, cleaning, and traveling among big crowds — it can be a chore. You deserve to treat yourself. And if you have the capacity, a recharge at Aliz Hotel in Times Square will do just the trick.
Here’s a quick, four-step guide to recharging after the holidays.
Step One: Slow Down
This should be a trip of leisure, so take your time. In fact, at our hotel, the more time you take, the more you save with our Stay More, Save More special. Stay three nights for savings up to 15 percent, five or six nights for savings up to 20 percent, and 7 or more nights for savings up to 25 percent!
How should you while away the hours? This is the best time of year to quietly mozy around New York City’s iconic museums — don’t miss the Museum of Modern Art, the Met, or the fun and quirky Madame Tussauds. You can also meander to the city’s best lookouts, such as the observation tower at the Empire State Building, The Edge, and One World Trade Center.
Step Two: Unwind
There’s not enough focus in travel blogs on just enjoying the calming nature of sitting or laying around an upscale hotel room. We invite you to unwind with our lush and high-end guestrooms, which are each curated with the finest amenities. Sleep on plush bedding, throw on a soft bathrobe, and take in a movie on your Samsung 50” 4K TV. Refresh with luxurious showers and Beekman 1802 bath amenities too.
Step Three: Relax
Relaxing might not seem like a far leap from unwinding, but remember, the holidays were stressful. Treat yourself! Dear Irving on Hudson is our onsite cocktail bar that has a sleek and stylish interior with a menu stocked with high-end, expertly created craft drinks. For those of us recovering with a dry January, be sure to check out the bar’s delicious selection of mocktails too.
Step Four: Invigorate!
When lying around, eating, and drinking has satisfied you enough, and you’ve stored up some energy — the property and city are filled with great ways to get out and move. You can get a workout in with the Peloton bikes at the Aliz Hotel Time Square gym. We also recommend checking out the outdoor ice skating rinks at Central Park and Bryant Park, or maybe splurging on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure like a helicopter ride over New York City.
